Najuqsivik is a not-for-profit orgainization registered through legal registries: number SOC 1355.
Our non-profit society has been operating since January 1998.
Najuqsivik’s main mission is to promote and preserve Inuit culture through education, economic and cultural projects.
Najuqsivik operates a non-profit daycare, infant centre, community television, and community museum (Inuit history). Past projects have included a frame-shop, a radio station, and providing training and assistance to local artists in various skills such as framing, making fishskin dolls, grass baskets, kumak sticks, model kayaks and polar bear rugs.
Our financial success depends on a patchwork of sources including bingo and government grants.
